“Jim Jarmusch once told me Fast, Cheap, and Good… pick two. If it’s fast and cheap it won’t be good.

If it’s cheap and good, it won’t be fast. If it’s fast and good, it won’t be cheap.

Fast, cheap and good …pick two words to live by. Tom Waits.

Wainscoting is a combination of decorative boards or panels & moldings that extend partway or entirely up a wall’s face, to enhance the look or to shield plastered walls from such hazards as dirty muddy hands, oil spatters in kitchens & the inevitable scuffs along hallways & stairways. It can also be a slatted, or wooden block feature wall or panel behind a bed or TV cabinet or in a bathroom.

Skirting board is a decorative molding fitted around the perimeter of a room where the wall meets the floor, to protect & beautify. Solid wood skirtings are most durable to withstand damage from knocks & moisture and provide a wholesome natural look while MDF skirtings give a smooth clean finish that looks great when finished in a paint that matches your room.
